WHY IS THE PRICE CHANGING FOR BLUE SKY USAGE AND HABITAT?

Thanks in part to support from participants like you, the demand for renewable energy is higher than ever. This increase in demand has caused an increase in the price of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for high-quality renewable energy resources like wind and solar in the western region. As the Blue Sky program goes into its 24th year, the price increase for Usage and Habitat is necessary to ensure Blue Sky remains impactful by providing a diverse mix of renewable energy from the western region. Your participation in the program will continue to support renewable energy in the West and reduce your carbon footprint.

DOES PACIFIC POWER PROFIT FROM THIS CHANGE?

Pacific Power does not make a profit from Blue Sky Usage and Habitat. Participation in the Blue Sky program will continue to support more clean energy in our region.

IS THE PRICE OF THE BLUE SKY HABITAT ADD-ON CHANGING?

No, customers enrolled in Blue Sky Habitat will continue to pay $2.50 each month on top of the per kilowatt-hour price to help preserve and restore habitats for native fish, including salmon in Oregon, through our partnership with The Freshwater Trust, a non profit that protects and restores rivers across the West.

IS THE PRICE OF THE BLUE SKY BLOCK OPTION CHANGING?
